Our Board of Trustees and founding management team is responsible for ensuring that the organisation is well governed and managed in line with its vision and mission, adheres to the terms of the trust deed and fulfill its objectives. They are also actively involved in maintaining the infrastructure, planning, fundraising, marketing, publicity and managing relationships between the organisation and its industry resources. They are further assisted in their duties by credible and competent volunteer staff.
Raziya Parker
Raziya is the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and the ASPI Director. In her career as a performing artist who has been on an international stage, she gained experience in organising large commercial productions as well as promotional events for charities. She has worked as an event coordinator of special training programmes for international participants in the safety and security industry. She has studied Event Management at the University of Cape Town and is also a qualified travel consultant with valuable knowledge of tourism and hospitality. As a former part-time school teacher she also has experience working with the development of children and young people.
Natheer Brown
Natheer serves ASPI in a volunteer capacity. He holds a B.Com(Hons) in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). His experience in the safety and security environment started by serving the SAPS as a detective and then specialised as a computer forensic investigator. He went on to become the co-founder and Technical Director of the research and training organisation Africa-Analysis, where he gained experience working in capacity building and organisational development programmes. He is most recognised for his role as Campaign Director of the ASPI initiative, Internet Safety Campaign (ISC AFRICA).
Tasneem is a Trustee and is involved in HR management. She has experience in corporate Human Resources, having worked in administration in the banking and financial service sector. She is a dynamic individual who has overcome the disadvantages of being Deaf by considerably improving her quality of life through well-developed speech and fluency in sign language and lip reading.
Tasneem is a Trustee and is involved in office management. She has valuable experience in business administration and professional communication, having worked with international clients in the shipping and trade industry. She also has a track record of organising fundraising events and providing community level support for charitable projects.
Tasneem is a Trustee and is involved in business marketing. She specialises in business planning and is completing her B.Com degree at the University of South Africa. As a qualified fashion designer, she has experience in image consulting and valuable knowledge of marketing and communications.
